Note: If the red pilot lamp lights up immediately after the first installation,
it can be assumed that the malfunction is due to inappropriate installation.
Check and eliminate the fault in accordance with the instructions set out in
chapter 9.
7.1.3.1 Retrofitting kit for socket mounting
Fitting instructions for screw fitting set and titanium anode
1. Scope of application
The socket mounting kit permits using the screw fitting set with the titanium
anode alternatively with thread diameters G
the screw fitting set and the titanium anode must be assembled before use.
The thread diameter is selected in accordance with the actual conditions of
the hot-water tank.
2. Illustration
Figures 1-3 of the annex ‚Mounting kit for retrofitting' show the arrange-
ment of the individual parts to be fitted.
Note: Use the illustration as a visual aid for the installation.
3. Fitting
1. Slide the sealing ring (1) over the threaded bolt M8x30 of the titanium
anode so that the sealing ring rests on the sealing disk of the titanium
anode. Use only the original sealing material.
2. Push the threaded bolt with the sealing ring and the insulation sleeve
through the bore in screw fitting (2a-c) until the seal is in contact with the
screw fitting and the threaded bolt is well centered.
3. Slide the small insulation sleeve (3a) for screw fitting G
ded bolt. Use the large insulation sleeve (3b) for screw fittings G 1" and

4. Slide the washer (4) and the tooth-lock washer (5) over the threaded bolt.
5. Place the galvanized nut M8 (6) on the threaded bolt and tighten with a
torque wrench. Specified torque: 8 Nm.
6. When the 1" or the G 1
washer with 90° tab connector (7) and fix with galvanized stop nut M8
(8). For this purpose, the screw fitting must be held tight with suitable
means, e.g. in a vice. Tighten the M8 nut.
7. When the G
connector (7) and fix with galvanized flat stop nut M8 (9). The screw fitting
must be held tight with suitable means, e.g. in a vice. Tighten the M8 nut.
