Torque Adjustments
This relates to the tightening power of the
drill and depending on the application,
various levels of driving power are required.
Generally the larger the screw diameter the
higher the torque power required to drive the
screw until its properly seated.
1 to 2: For driving small screws.
3 to 4 : For driving screws into soft materials
or plastics.
5 to 7 : For driving screws into softwoods.
11 to 14 : For driving screws into
medium/hardwoods.
15 to 20 : For powerful screw driving or drilling metal or using
spade(hole) bits.
Drill: Maximum setting for driving screws.
Cautions:
Always start on the lowest setting. If the correct setting has been chosen,
an override clutch opens once the screw has been turned flush into the
material. When removing screws, select a higher setting or set to drill
symbol. The proper settings a best determined in practical trials.
Drilling Metal: If possible, punch the drilling position first, to prevent
drill-bit run away.
Coolants: Suitable coolants can be obtained from shops. Always ask for
any advice you need with utilization.
Noise: The appliance's noise output may exceed 85dB (A) at the
workplace. In this instance, wear ear defenders.
Maintenance
Before doing any work on the machine itself, remove the battery pack
from it.Clean the appliance with a moist cloth and a little lubricating
soap. Don't use any cleaning agents or solvents-these could attack the
plastic parts of the appliance. Always keep the surface of the device free
from dust and dirt.
