Off side (right side as you sit on bike)
Remove the two engine bolts shown arrowed in top right picture (it is advisable to support engine while
doing this). Both of these bolts have a nut fitted so you will be required to use a 17mm spanner (do not

lose these nuts as they is used on assembly).
Take M12 x 160mm long cap head bolt (item 11 ) and washer (item 4) and put through the front hole in
the mounting bracket (item 12) so washer goes into counter-bore, place the 58mm long spacer (item 15)
over the exposed end of bolt against the spanning bar as shown above.
Take M12 x 110mm long cap head bolt (item 13) and washer item 4) and put through the rear hole in
spanning bar so washer goes into counter-bore, place the 30mm long spacer (item 14) over the exposed
end of bolt with smaller diameter against spanning bar as shown above.
Offer the assembly up to bike placing front (longer) bolt through plain mounting at front of engine and
shorter bolt through plain frame mount and engine mount as original (shown top right).
Using OEM nuts on both bolts tighten evenly. Do not over-tighten as damage can occur to the bike. Do
not exceed 40Nm of torque.
Install one of the 60mm long hex-head bolts (item 10) with a flat washer (item 4) followed by a shake
proof washer (item 9) into the crash protector (item 2) so the head of the bolt and washers sits in the
counter-bore and offer up to mounting bracket, the crash protector should sit in the shaped recess so
tapered end points towards rear of bike as shown top right. Tighten bolt. Do not overtighten as damage
can occur to the bike. Do not exceed 40nm of torque.
Fit cap (item 1) and bubble sticker as shown top left.
The catalogue description and any exhibition of samples are only broad indications of the Products and R&G may make design
changes which do not diminish their performance or visual appeal and supplying them in such state shall conform to the order.
The Buyer acknowledges no representation or warranty (other than as to title) has been given or will apply to the Products other
than those in R&G's order or confirmation and the Buyer confirms it has chosen the Products as being of merchantable quality
and suitable for its particular purposes. Where R&G fits the Products or undertakes other services it shall exercise reasonable
skill and care and rectify any fault free of charge unless the workmanship has been disturbed. The Buyer is responsible for
ensuring that the warranty on the motorcycle is not affected by the fitting of the Products. On return of any defective Products
R&G shall at its option either supply a replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the Products have
been modified or used or maintained otherwise than in accordance with R&G's or manufacturer's instructions and good
engineering practice or if the defect arises from accident or neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting
its liability for causing death and personal injury, it shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability
shall be limited to the amounts paid by the Buyer for the Products or the fitting or service concerned. These terms do not affect
the Buyer's statutory rights.
