Oventrop double regulating and commissioning valves are installed in the pipework of hot water central heating
systems and cooling systems and serve to achieve a hydronic balance between the various circuits of the system. By
using the special tool "Demo-block", item no. 1188051, the sizes DN 15 up to DN 25 can be
– converted to differential pressure regulators
– converted to thermostatic operation
– used with electromotive and electrothermal actuators as well as the actuators "EIB" or "LON"
without the necessity to drain the system. The sizes DN 32 and DN 40 can be directly converted as described above.
Size DN 50 can be convented to differential pressure regulator. The system has to be drained for this purpose.
The valves are supplied with an insulation for temperatures up to 110 °C (as packing).
It is important to note that the direction of flow must conform with the arrow on the valve body and the valve must be
installed with a minimum of 3 x D (3 x nominal pipe diameter) of straight pipe in the upstream side. The required
values of presetting can be obtained from the flow charts. All intermediate values are infinitely adjustable.
The selected presetting can be read off two scales (basic setting on longitudinal scale, fine setting on peripheral
scale, see illustr.). The stop of the presetting is preserved even if the double regulating and commissioning valve is
closed.
Presetting:
1. The value of presetting of the valve is adjusted by turning the handwheel.
a. The display of the basic setting is shown by the longitudinal scale together with the sliding indicator.
Half a turn of the handwheel is represented by a line on the longitudinal scale.
b. The display of the fine setting is shown by the peripheral scale correspond to 1/10
handwheel.
2. The set presetting value is limited by turning the inner adjustment stem clockwise until stop. To do so, use a
screwdriver with a bezel of about 3 to 4 mm.
3. The presetting value may be locked by using the locking pin (accessory).
For presetting and fine adjustment of the flow volume, Oventrop offers two types of measuring instruments, i.e:
Oventrop measuring system "OV-DMC 2"
Oventrop measuring system "OV-DMPC"
The accessories as well as further insulations can be found in the catalogue.
