Setting the extension/flexion limit:
If required, it can be necessary to restrict the scope of the brace's movement.
The extension is factory set to 0°, flexion is unrestricted.
5
Remove the outer joint cover. For this, press the crescent-shaped joint
cover flap downwards and turn the cover anticlockwise simultaneously.
6
The joints are marked with "A" and "B". Remove the existing limit stop
from the joint and take the required limit stop from the limit stop sets
provided. They are also marked with the letters "A" and "B", the angular
degrees noted on the limit stop wedges. Extension wedges are marked with
an "E", flexion wedges with an "F". Insert the limit stop into the joint.
7
Finally, re-attach the joint cover. For this, place the cover on the joint so
that the marking on the cover is identical to the open lock symbol. To
lock it, turn the cover clockwise under slight pressure until you hear a clicking
sound. The following restrictions are available:
– Adjustable extension: 0°, 10°, 15°, 20°
– Adjustable flexion: 0°, 20°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, 90°
Removal
To remove the aid, open the circumferential Velcro straps and then the surface
padding supports. Then, remove the support from the leg. Close all the Velcro
fasteners in order to avoid damaging other items, e.g. to further clothing.
