Read this manual carefully, while
complying with the safety
instructions previously cited,
during and after use of your lawn
mower. Complying with these
simple instructions will also allow
you to keep your lawn mower in
good working order. Familiarise
yourself with your lawn mower's
controls before attempting to use
but most importantly, make sure
you know how to turn off
your mower in an emergency.

and the other documents

for future reference.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Safety rules to follow when using lawn mowers
with electric motors.
Training
a) Carefully read the instructions. Become familiar
with the controls and the correct operation of the
equipment.
b) Never allow children or persons unfamiliar with
these instructions to operate the appliance. National
regulations may place limits on the age of the
operator.
c) Never operate the appliance when other persons,
in particular children, or animals are nearby.
d) Keep in mind that the operator or user is
responsible for any accidents caused or dangers
posed to other persons or their property while
operating the appliance.

Preparation

a) During operation of the appliance, always wear
sturdy shoes and long trousers.
Do not operate the appliance while barefoot or while
wearing sandals. Avoid wearing loose-fitting
garments, garments with loose cords, or ties.
b) Fully and thoroughly inspect the zone within
which the appliance will be used, and remove all
objects that may be projected by the appliance.
c) Before use, always visually inspect the appliance
to ensure that the cutting mechanism, the bolts and
the mechanism's mounting are not deteriorated or
damaged. Replace used or damaged components
in whole sets, in order to maintain good balancing.
Replace damaged or unreadable labels.

Operation
Never allow children or other persons unfamiliar
with these operating instructions to operate the
garden tool. It is possible that local regulations
prescribe a minimum age for the operator. When not
in use, keep the garden tool out of the reach of
children.
This garden tool is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with a physical, sensory
or mental disability, or by persons not possessing
the necessary experience and/or knowledge, unless
they are supervised by a person responsible for
their safety, or unless they have been trained in the
handling and operation of the garden tool.
Children must be supervised to ensure they do not
play with the garden tool.
Never mow the lawn when persons, in particular
children, or pets are nearby.
The operator or user of the lawn mower is
responsible for any accidents or damage caused to
other persons or their property.
Never operate the garden tool while barefoot or
while wearing open sandals. Always wear closed
shoes and long trousers.
Carefully inspect the area to be mown and
remove stones, sticks, metal wire, bones and any
other foreign objects.
Before switching on the appliance, verify that the
blades, the blade mounting bolts and the cutting
assembly are not damaged or worn out. Always
replace the worn or damaged blades together with
the blade mounting bolts to avoid any imbalance.
Only operate the mower in daylight or under good
artificial lighting.
Do not operate the lawn mower in unfavourable
weather conditions, particularly in the case of
approaching storms.
If possible, avoid using the garden tool when the
grass is wet.
Only operate the tool at a walking pace, never
run.
Never use the garden tool when the safety
equipment is defective, when the mechanism is
without housing or without protective equipment
such as the impact protection and/or the grass
collection box.
Wear ear protection.
Disconnect the power supply:
– every time you move away from the garden tool,
– before removing a blockage,
– for inspecting, cleaning, or carrying out repairs
on the garden tool,
– after hitting a foreign object. Check immediately
that the garden tool is not damaged, and, if
necessary, have the tool repaired,
– if the garden tool begins to vibrate abnormally
(check immediately).
