3. Lower exhaust and remove frame plug – using exhaust removal pliers, remove (2) hangers from exhaust. Using a flat head screwdriver, remove rearmost rubber
plug from frame rail. Remove (1) per side. Note: make sure exhaust is properly supported prior to lowering.
4. Remove bumper beam – using a 14mm socket with extension, remove (2)
M10 flange hex nuts and (4) M10 hex bolts from bumper beam. If equipped,
disconnect the blind spot monitor wire from top of bumper beam. Keep hex
flange nuts for hitch installation. Return factory hex bolts and bumper beam to
vehicle owner. See Figure 1.

5. Apply sealant - apply silicone sealant to both hitch bracket
mounting surfaces. See Figure 2.
