1. Remove taillights - Open tailgate. Remove plastic cover near taillight, using a phillips head screwdriver, remove (2) push-pin rivets holding cover to taillight housing, both sides. Using a 10mm socket, remove (2)
screws from taillight and remove taillight by gently pulling rearward. Disconnect the wiring and set taillight aside, both sides.
2. Remove fascia - a.) Using a flat head screwdriver, remove (2) plastic push-pin rivets from along bottom of fascia.
b.) Using a flat head screwdriver, remove (4) plastic push-pin rivets from outer bottom edge of fascia near wheel well, both sides.
c.) Using a flat head screwdriver, from inside the rear wheel well, remove (1) rivet. Note: The factory rivets cannot be reused. Four (4) replacement rivets are supplied, (2) required, (2) spare.
d.) Using a plastic trim tool, starting at the outer ends near wheel well, carefully remove the fascia by gently pulling rearward while releasing the clips holding the fascia.
e.) If equipped, disconnect all wiring harnesses from fascia and carefully set fascia aside.
3. Lower exhaust and remove frame plug – using exhaust removal pliers, remove (2) hangers from exhaust. Using a flat head screwdriver, remove rearmost rubber plug from frame rail. Remove (1) per side. Note:
make sure exhaust is properly supported prior to lowering.
4. Remove bumper beam – using a 14mm socket with extension, remove (2) M10 flange hex nuts and (4) M10 hex bolts from bumper beam. If equipped, disconnect the blind spot monitor wire from top of bumper
beam. Keep hex flange nuts for hitch installation. Return factory hex bolts and bumper beam to vehicle owner. See Figure 1.
5. Apply sealant - apply silicone sealant to both hitch bracket mounting surfaces. See Figure 2.
Install Hitch and Bumper beam - NOTE: Apply blue thread locker to all fasteners. Raise the hitch into position, inserting the tabs into the frame rail. Fish wire 7/16" carriage bolts ①and spacers ② into place

through the hole in the side plate and out the bottom of the frame rail, attach 7/16 flat washers ③ , lock washers ④, and nuts ⑤onto the carriage bolts See Figure 1. Install the bumper over the hitch, loosely
install (2) M10 nuts ⑨ and 3/8" conical washers (teeth side toward hitch) ⑧ onto the studs, and (4) M10 hex bolts ⑦ and 3/8"conical washers ⑧ into weld nuts in end panel..
7. Tighten all M10-1.25 CL8.8 fasteners with torque wrench to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N*M) and 7/16-14 fasteners to 50 Lb-ft. (68 N*M)
8. Trim fascia –Locate the center of the fascia. Using a tape measure, marker, and utility knife, cut a notch in the bottom of fascia approximately 8.75'' wide by 4.25" tall. See Figure 3. Note: Be sure area is clear of
all electrical wiring before trimming.
9. Reinstall fascia/exhaust/taillights – Reconnect all wiring first. Then reinstall the fascia using original push-pin rivets removed in step 2. Next, using a plastic rivet gun, install (1) rivet to hold fascia at the rear
wheel well location removed in step 2. Then, reinstall exhaust, taillights, taillight covers using original fasteners and reconnect all wiring removed in step 4.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye
protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
