INDICATION
Thumb C arpomet acarpal (CMC)
Osteoarthritis (OA).
PERFORMANCE
The brace provides stabilization of the
thumb.

improvements for CMC OA.
The brace provides pain relief for CMC
OA.
CONTRE-INDICATION
None known.
WARNINGS • PRECAUTIONS OF USE
The brace should not be used in cases
where the injury requires relative or
absolute immobilization or surgical
procedure.
When adjusting the strap, tighten it so
that it is firm but comfortable.
Do not wear for extended periods
without medical follow-up.
The orthosis must not be used in direct
contact with a damaged skin.
The orthosis is a single patient use device.
Do not use for multiple patients.
If any problems occur with the use of the
orthosis, e.g. pain or appearance of local
signs, remove the orthosis and contact
your healthcare professional.
The user and/or patient must report any
serious incident that has occurred in
relation to the device to the manufacturer
and the competent authority of the
Member State in which the user and/or
patient is established.

Size of the orthosis to choose according to the circumference of the wrist, below
the styloid (in cm).

FEATURES OF THE DEVICE
The two thumb adjustment tabs provide
firm but comfortable support.
Fleece lining.
Adjustment strap.
The pad under the tightening loop
prevents compression of this loop.
Ambidextrous orthosis.
SET UP AND OPERATION
The first application must be carried out
by a qualified healthcare professional to
understand the correct fitting and how to
put the device on properly. Subsequently,
the product should be put on the patient
in the same way by the user or a family
member or a friend.
During fitting, the applicator must shape,
if necessary, the splints of the orthosis
to adapt them to your morphology.
1 – Open the wrist tab; loosen the thumb
tabs without opening them.
2 – Pull the orthotic device over your
hand like a glove, sliding your thumb
through the thumb straps.
3 – Close up the orthotic device using
the thumb tab, so that the hold is firm
but comfortable.
4 – Adjust the thumb straps in such a
way that the hold is firm but comfortable.
Next, position the straps along the thumb
column. Make sure the straps are parallel
to the central seam, without overlapping
it.
CARE INSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE AND
DISPOSAL
Keep the orthosis away from sources of
excessive heat.
Hand wash in warm soapy water
(maximum 40°C), rinse thoroughly.
Wring out gently; do not bleach; dry flat,
away from a source of excessive heat
(ex: radiators), do not tumble dry; do not
iron; do not dry clean.
The device and packaging must
be disposed of in accordance with
respective local or national environmental
regulations.
