DIESEL ENGINE
• Adapter kit for «Clamp-on/Slide-in» injectors for diesel engines of trucks, vans, cars, and agricultural
and marine diesel engines.
• To be used in combination with a diesel engine leak tester
• This adapter kit is designed to be used with a pressure gauge and hose clamps.
• The components of this kit are assembled to reproduce the model of the original injector removed
using the appropriate bridges, spacers and nozzles. This makes it possible to simulate the model of
the original injector.
• The set of parts provided (3 bridges sizes, 5 different nozzles/adapters and 7 spacers) increases
the possibilities of reproducing the injector model.
Procedure for using the fake universal injector during a cylinder leak test:
• Remove the injector from the cylinder to be tested. If it is difficult to remove, use an inertia mass
for injector.
• Install a piece of replacement hose on the disconnected end of the fuel line and redirect the
discharged fuel to a suitable container during the procedure.
• Make sure the scope and housing are clean. If necessary, run the motor to remove the scale.
• Select the necessary parts from the adapter kit to reproduce the model and correct the «clamping
length» by copying the removed injector.
• Assemble the parts and when screwing in the injector adapter, make sure that the seal is properly
located between the adapter and the pillar.
• Climb to the clamping position by sliding the correct spacers onto the pillar. Finally, place the
correct size of mounting flange.
NOTE :
• For claw injectors, use the manufacturer's original injector «clam».
• The spacer of the largest diameter provided can be used as the final spacing piece on the pillar, if
the opening of the injector clamping claw is wider than the normal spacers.
• Use the appropriate gasket on the injector adapter/nose to ensure tightness.
• Insert the fake injector into the housing and secure the flange nuts to the clamping plate using
the original studs.
• Mount the pressure gauge/regulator/hose assembly of the diesel cylinder leak tester on the
column using the quick coupling.
