Connecting the Console Port
1. Insert the RJ45 console port on the front of the switch.
2. Connect the DB9 female connector of the console cable to the serial port on the computer.

Configuring the Switch Using the Web-based Interface
Step1: Connect the computer to any RJ45 port of the switch using the network cable.
Step2: Set the IP address of the computer to 192.168.1.X ("x" is any number from 1 to 254)
Step3: Open a web browser, enter the default IP address of the switch 192.168.1.1,
and enter the default username and password, admin/admin.
Step4: Click Login to display the web-based configuration page.
Configuring the Switch Using the Console Port
Step1: Connect a computer to the switch's console port using the console cable.
Step2: Start the terminal simulation software such as HyperTerminal on the computer.
Step3: Set the parameters of the HyperTerminal:9600 bits per second, 8 data bits, no parity,
1 stop bit, no flow control.
Step4: After setting the parameters, click Connect to enter.
Troubleshooting
100M/1G/2.5G Port is not working
1. Ensure the optical module and cable have no problem.
2. Check if the configuration at both ends of the communication device is auto or forced rate.
