MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
B 1 Coupling Packer (10mm)
D 1 Left Hand Sidearm
E 1 Right Hand Sidearm
F 2 M14 Captive Nut Strap
G 4 M14 x 45 x 2.00 Bolt, Lock Washer and Flat Washer
H 6 M12 x 40 x 1.25 Bolt, Lock Washer and 25mm O.D. Flat Washer
J 6 M12 x 35 x 1.75 Bolt and Nyloc Nuts with 12 Bolt caps
K 2 End Caps
L 1 M10 x 30 x 1.25 Bolt
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical Plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Remove bumper and loosen all the fixings securing the bumper arms to bumper. Bend back the location tabs on the
bumper arms (2 per arm)
2. Remove the 4 M10 captive nuts in the lower face of the vehicle chassis (see sketch below), drill holes to dia 15mm for
Bolts (G), insert Captive Nut Strap (F) inside chassis and loosely attach Sidearms (D) and (E) using Bolts (G).
3. Refit Bumper using Bolts (H)
Rodeo MAX models- due to the weight and size of bumper two people will be required to hold bumper in position until
Bolts (H) have been located.
Dmax models- a clearance hole must be drilled in the bumper sidearm for the upper hole (H).
4. Loosely attach Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (J).
5. Fully tighten all bolts ensuring correct alignment of bumper. Fit Bolt caps to Bolts (J) and End Caps (K).
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
