MATERIALS
A 1 Mainframe with slotted faceplate
B 1 Coupling Packer
D 2 Side plate
E 2 Bracing Cleat
F 4 2 x Cage Nut insert strap, Cage nut retainer, Nut, M12x1.75x45 Bolt and Lock Washers.
G 6 M14 x 2.00 x 35 Bolts and Nyloc Nuts
H 6 M12 x 1.25 x 35 Bolts (10.9 garde), Flat Washers and Lock Washers
J 2 M12 x 1.75 x 35 Bolts, Nyloc Nuts and 4 Flat Washers
CB 2 M16 x 2.0 x 60 Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball, which
dimensionally conforms to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar. – May also be used with pin/jaw
coupling and adjustable coupling Z52B
FITTING
1. Assemble Cage nuts to Straps (F) and insert into open ends of chassis. Loosely attach Bracing Cleat (E) to lower face of
chassis using Bolts (F).
2. Remove bolts securing Bumper arm (discard Bolts), attach Sidearms (D) to chassis and bumper using bolts (H) with Flat
Washers. (take care it is very easy to damage threads in chassis) – repeat for other side.
3. Loosely attach Mainframe (A) to Sidearms (D) using Bolts (G), attach Bracing Cleat (E) to Sidearms (D) using Bolts (J)
with Flat washers.
4. Fully tighten all bolts ensuring faceplate of Mainframe is vertical and level.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200
Nm Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
