The brace provides stabilization of the
thumb.
The brace shall provide functional
improvements for CMC OA.
The brace provides pain relief for CMC OA.
CONTRAINDICATION
None known.
WARNINGS • PRECAUTIONS OF USE
The brace should not be used in cases
where the injury requires relative or
absolute immobilization or surgical
procedure.
When adjusting the strap, tighten it so that
it is firm but comfortable.
Do not wear for extended periods without
medical follow-up.
The orthosis must not be used in direct
contact with a damaged skin.
The orthosis is a single patient use device.
Do not use for multiple patients.
If any problems occur with the use of the
orthosis, e.g. pain or appearance of local
signs, remove the orthosis and contact
your healthcare professional.
The user and/or patient must report any
serious incident that has occurred in
relation to the device to the manufacturer
and the competent authority of the
Member State in which the user and/or
patient is established.

SET UP AND OPERATION
The first application must be carried out
by a qualified healthcare professional to
understand the correct fitting and how to
put the device on properly. Subsequently,
the product should be put on the patient
in the same way by the user or a family
member or a friend.
During fitting, the applicator must shape,
if necessary, the splints of the orthosis
to adapt them to your morphology.
1. Assess the damage by closing the first
web contracture (thumb-index finger).
2. Depending on the damage, adjust the
opening of the webbing spacer (aluminum
cradle) to a position that relieves pain.
3. Open the wrist adjustment flap.
4. Put the brace on the hand like a glove.
5. Ensure that the spacer is correctly
positioned at the base of the first web
contracture (thumb- index finger).
6. Tighten the wrist adjustment flap to
obtain a comfortable hold.
It may be necessary to adjust the inclination
of the main spacer splint to prevent
pressure on the trapeziometacarpal joint.
CARE INSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE AND
DISPOSAL
Keep the orthosis away from sources of
excessive heat.
Hand wash in warm soapy water (maximum
40 ° C), rinse thoroughly. Wring out gently;
do not bleach; dry flat, away from a source
of excessive heat (ex: radiators), do not
tumble dry; do not iron; do not dry clean.
The device and packaging must be disposed
of in accordance with respective local or
national environmental regulations.
