TROUBLESHOOTING
Anomalies
The ammeter does not move.
The ammeter indicates more than 20A
whereas the selector adjustment is at the
minimum
The machine trips
NEOSTART 320 / 420 / 620
Causes
Power supply problem
"Polarity reversal or clamp in short
circuit"
The battery is faulty
Volage error (12 -24 V)
Following intensive use, the machine has
switched off due to thermal protection to
cool down.
The battery is deeply discharged
Voltage error (12 - 24 V)
Some battery elements are in short-circuit
You are starting whilst in the "charge" mode
of the machine
A 12V battery is charged on the 24V output
Remedies
Check the power supply
Check the machine is switched to the charge
position
Check the fuses is intact and if the circuit-
breaker is engaged
Check with a voltmeter the voltage on the
terminals. If the voltage rises instantly at
more than 2.5V per element, the battery
may be damaged or sulphated.
Check the switch is on the correct selection
(12 or 24V)
Wait for 15 min to allow cooling
Keep charging but only at a low output
Check the switch is set correctly (12 or 24V)
Change the battery
Switch to the "start" position otherwise it
could damaged the machine. Reset the
circuit breaker
Put the switch on the 12V position
