DESCRIPTION – OPERATIONS
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The unit is made up primarily of:
1 COPELAND hermetic scroll compressor.
1 liquid receiver conforming to EC standard 2014/68/EU (PED) with boss for the installation of a safety valve (compulsory).
Warning : it is mandatory for the refrigeration contractor to assembly a safety valve on receiver with category over I.
The set-up is mounted on a painted sheet steel frame.

INSTALLATION
SPECIFIC INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS
For certain installations (e.g.: multi-station refrigeration, very large network), the use of an oil separator may prove necessary. It
is essential that the separator return be positioned on the suction line.
REFRIGERATION NETWORK CONNECTION
Generalities
B
EFORE ANY WORK IS DONE ON THE REFRIGERATION CIRCUIT
The piping used (copper or steel) must be of refrigeration quality in accordance with PED 2014/68/EU.
All piping must be correctly supported and fixed and should in no case be allowed to restrict the piping of the unit.
Connection to suction
The pipe diameters must be determined in advance to ensure correct oil return and should not be based on the diameters of the
collector suction valves.
The piping should always fall towards the unit, never away.
A suction line accumulator, preferably non shut-off, can be added on this circuit, as long as it is correctly sized in relation to the
power of the unit and the installation design.
Connection to liquid line
To be connected on the liquid receiver and the following items should be provided in this order:
-
Drier
-
Sight-glass for the fluid
-
Solenoid valve
This solenoid valve should be positioned near the evaporator if the fluid line
If the option of a liquid line is required, this should be connected after the solenoid valve if the installation layout permits.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
General information
The machine is designed in accordance with EN60204-1.
All cabling on site must conform to the legal standards in force in the relevant countries and to EN60204-1.
Except for special operation, the nominal current must be:
power circuit: 400V/3/50Hz + Earth
control circuit: 230V/1/50Hz (pressure switches – crankcase heaters).
Cabling is determined according to:
,
THE HOLDING CHARGE MUST BE REMOVED
circuit exceeds 5m in length.
