Adjusting the tripod legs

Take the three tripod legs from the box. Place the legs in the connection flanges on the altazimuth mount
and attach them with the screws provided. These can be then be secured by the wing nuts.
The mount is now attached to the tripod.

Loosen the tripod locking screws and pull out the lower section of a tripod leg. Tighten the locking screw
on the leg until it can no longer slip. Carry out this procedure with all three tripod legs.

Spread out the tripod legs and place the tripod on even ground.

Now you can adjust the height of each tripod leg as required. Aligning the mount later will be more
straightforward if they have been adjusted accurately.
5.
Now fasten the accessory tray to the centre brace of the tripod. As the name implies, this is meant for
storing accessories for short periods during observing. In addition, it also stabilizes the tripod assembly.
