10. Commissioning
Only put the device into operation when you have become familiar with its features and these
operating instructions. Check again that all connections are correct. Do not put the product into
operation if it is damaged.
The amplifier for this equipment should always be the last to be turned on and the first to be
turned off. This prevents undesired noises (that can arise when turning the CD player off) that
can also damage the amplifier and the loudspeakers.
Make sure that the connected devices are not overloaded. Playback should not be distorted
under any circumstances. If the music signal is distorted despite the amplifier being on a low
volume, switch the CD player off immediately and check all connections. If there are no
connection errors, please contact a specialist.
The device may only be operated by persons familiar with the operating instructions. Keep
other persons and children away from the CD player.
a) Turning the player on
•
Turn the volume control of the connected amplifier right down.
•
The CD player is turned on via the mains switch (24).
•
Then turn a mixing desk, if connected, on and lastly the amplifier unit.
b) Inserting a CD
•
Press the button OPEN/CLOSE (1) to open the CD compartment.
•
Place an audio CD with the written side (label side) face upwards in the CD drawer on the front of the device.
Always hold a CD on the outer edge and avoid touching the surface of the underside.
Do not insert any damaged CD into the player; the high rotation speed may cause it to shatter and
damage the device. Make sure that the CD is correctly drawn into the drive. Do not insert more than
one CD.
Never interfere with the motor-driven movement of the CD compartment Do not insert the CD
compartment forcefully into the drive. This damages the mechanics and leads to malfunctions.
•
Wait until the CD compartment has completely retracted into the drive.
•
The LC display shows the total amount of tracks, the number of folders, if available (with MP3), and the total CD
playing time for a brief time.
•
Afterwards, the device automatically sets the CUE mark at the starting point of the music of the first track on the
CD and enters pause mode.
The CD compartment can not be opened during play mode. This prevents any unforeseen interruptions
to playback. Before pressing the OPEN/CLOSE button (1), stop playback.
