d) Attaching the telescopic antenna on the transmitter
If the telescope antenna is enclosed separately, insert this from above into the corresponding opening on the transmitter
and twist it tight. Do not use any force when screwing the antenna tight; do not use any tools!
e) Inserting batteries (or rechargeable batteries) in the transmitter
Slide the cover for the battery compartment on the bottom of the transmitter out and insert 8 accumulators or 8
batteries into the transmitter. Please observe correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-). Close the battery compartment.
f) Switching on the transmitter
Turn the transmitter on before connecting the accumulator pack with the drive control. Place the ON /OFF switch onto
the "I" position. The red "BATT" LED lights up.
If the LED flashes, the batteries or accumulators in the transmitter are weak and should be exchanged
for new ones as fast as possible.
g) Connecting the accumulator pack
Prior to connecting the accumulator pack to the drive control, activate the remote control transmitter (see chapter 9. d),
e) and 9. f).
To prevent a sudden starting of the wheels and therefore an
uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the trimming for
the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a
suitable cardboard surface or similar (see illustration on the
right), so that the wheels can turn freely in case there is a
fault scenario.
Now connect the accumulator pack to the drive control.
h) Activating the drive control
Slide the switch of the drive control to "ON" and check the drive and steering function of the vehicle.
In general, the manufacturer's default settings are correct and no adjustments are required.
If the vehicle's motor starts although the throttle is in central position, you can program the drive control. For this
purpose, see chapter 11 .
