Step 1: Download the CRIMP CONNECT™ System software
to your computer at www.dewalt.com/crimpconnect.
Step 2: Follow the instructions in the software to create
your CRIMP CONNECT™ System account.
Step 3: Connect your press tool with the D
CONNECT™ System software by first connecting the
provided micro USB cable to the micro USB port
back of the tool to a USB port on a computer. Then go to
the Home screen of the program to access tool tracking and
usage reports stored on the press tool.
NOTE: The USB connection will not charge the tool's
battery pack.

Installing and Removing the Battery Pack
(Fig. E)
NOTE: For best results, make sure your battery pack is
fully charged.
To install the battery pack into the tool handle, align the
battery pack with the rails inside the tool's handle and slide
it into the handle until the battery pack is firmly seated in
the tool and ensure that it does not disengage.
To remove the battery pack from the tool, press the release
button and firmly pull the battery pack out of the tool
handle. Insert it into the charger as described in the charger
section of this manual.
