Initial Operation
• Connect the USB charger to your smartphone or tablet that you want to charge.
For this purpose please use preferably the original USB cable that comes with the
smartphone or tablet. When other cables are used, the charging current can be
reduced.
• Plug the USB charger into a proper mains socket.
• The USB charger now adjusts to the compatible output voltage depending on the connected
device. According to the connected device, the USB charger provides the maximum
possible output current.
The USB charger supports the charging standard
"Qualcomm
Quick Charge 3.0" (compatible with "Quick
®
Charge 2.0" and "Quick Charge 1.0").
By automatically detecting the connected device, the USB charger provides the compatible
output voltage or output current. As a result, the charging process for compatible devices
can be significantly accelerated.
When no device is detected for "Quick Charge", the USB charger always provides an output
voltage of 5 V/DC, which complies with the USB standard. As a result, conventional USB
devices too can be connected and charged.
When an Apple device (for e.g., iPhone or iPad) is connected, the USB charger provides
in this case the maximum possible charging current depending on the device (for e.g., for
an iPad up to 2.4 A).
• When the charging process of the connected device has ended, disconnect the USB device
from the mains socket. Unplug the USB charger from the connected device.
Care and Cleaning
• Disconnect the product from the mains before each cleaning.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
• Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
Disposal
This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the
EU market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as
unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose
of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators,
which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from
the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end users from the
WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a collection point.
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-back
of waste. Conrad provides the following return options free of charge (more details on our
website):
• in our Conrad offices
• at the Conrad collection points
• at the collection points of public waste management authorities or the collection points set
up by manufacturers or distributors within the meaning of the ElektroG
End users are responsible for deleting personal data from the WEEE to be disposed of.
It should be noted that different obligations about the return or recycling of WEEE may apply in
countries outside of Germany.
