Changing the Power Nozzle Belt
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of electric shock, the power cord
must be disconnected before performing any maintenance/trouble
shooting checks.
Occasionally, the belt in your power nozzle will require changing,
the frequency depends upon the amount of use your vacuum sees.
To change the belt:
1.
Turn the power nozzle On/Off button to the "Off" position.
2.
Turn the vacuum off and disconnect the power cord from the
electrical outlet.
3.
Disconnect the power nozzle from the telescopic tube.
4.
Turn the power nozzle upside down and using a #1 Phillips
screw driver, remove the six (6) screws from the bottom plate.

5.
Turn the power nozzle over and remove the power nozzle
cover. (Fig. 37)
6.
Carefully lift up the headlight assembly. (Fig. 38)
7.
Remove the brush roll cover. (Fig. 39)

8.
If the belt is broken, remove all broken pieces . If it is just
stretched remove it from the motor pulley. (Fig. 40)
9.
Lift up the end of the agitator brush and remove the old belt
from the agitator pulley. (Fig. 41)
10. Place the new belt over the agitator pulley first making sure
that the lettering on the belt is visible. Then slide it over the
motor pulley. (Fig. 42)
11. Secure the left side of the brush roll into place and then rotate
the end plate of the brush roll until it slides into place as well.
