PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
The 278 Temperature Control is included with the 21C02
series Temperature Control kit, designed for residential
installations allowing for a flush wall-mounted thermostat
housing with an external adjustable temperature knob.
The 278 Temperature Control is a remote bulb thermo-
stat with a 12 ft. or 18 ft. capillary length and a 3" x 3/8"
sensing bulb designed to pass through one 90° bend in
1/2" thinwall electrical tubing (EMT). These controls fea-
ture a slow make and break double pole disconnect
switch structure with an "OFF" position which mechani-
cally breaks both sides of the line, a narrow differential
and temperature adjustment shaft.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
To prevent electrical shock and/or equipment dam-
age, disconnect electric power to system, at main
fuse or circuit breaker box, until installation is
complete.
Do not use on circuits exceeding specific voltage.
Higher voltage will damage control and could
cause shock or fire hazard.
Do not use on inductive loads. Inductive (motor)
loads will damage control and could cause shock
or fire hazard.
