ADF 600S
1 Identification
The automatic welding helmet ADF 600S is used to protect the eyes and face from sparks, weld spatters
and damaging radiation during the welding process.
The following text describes the automatic welding helmet with ADF 600S.
The ADF 600S is delivered ready for use. These operating instructions only describe the ADF 600S.
The ADF 600S must only be operated using original ABICOR BINZEL spare parts.
1.1 Approval
These products meet the safety requirements of the EC Directive 89/686 and are labelled with the CE
marking. They meet the specifications of EN175, EN379 and EN166.
The certification according to Article 10 as well as the CE type examination were concluded at the following

2 Safety
• Please read the operating instructions carefully before using the system for the first time.
• These operating instructions provide you with all the information you need for trouble-free and safe
operation. The product has been developed and manufactured in accordance with state-of-the-art
technology and the recognized safety standards and regulations.
• The operating instructions warn you against unavoidable residual hazards for users, third parties,
devices or other material property. The safety instructions used, which must be adhered to, point out
unavoidable design-related residual hazards.
• Non-observance of these safety instructions may result in risks to the life or health of personnel,
environmental damage or material damage. The product may only be operated in technically perfect
condition in compliance with the operating instructions.
• The manufacturer will accept no liability for damage caused by non-observance of the operating
instructions.
• Use suitable means to protect yourself and bystanders from the hazards listed in the chapter on safety.
• During welding, heat and radiation are released. The ADF 600S provides eye and face protection. To
protect the rest of the body, wear your personal protective equipment.
• Never open the automatic filter or manipulate it.
• The automatic filter provides no protection from the risk of impact.
• Changes may not be made to the automatic filter or the ADF 600S if they are not specified in these
operating instructions. Do not use spare parts other than those specified in the operating instructions.
Impermissible changes and disallowed spare parts void the warranty and put the user at risk of injury.
• Never set the ADF 600S and automatic filter on a hot surface.
• Do not submerse the automatic filter in water.
• Protect the automatic filter from coming into contact with fluids and dirt.
• Do not use any type of solvent on the viewing panes or any other part of the ADF 600S.
