The next step is the determination of the handle length. For this purpose, the screws underneath
the plastic support are opened and the handle is positioned so that the elbow joint is precisely at the
level of the elbow pivot point.
Information: If instructed by the physician, the hand grip and shoulder strap can be detached. For this
purpose, remove the Allen screws, detach the hand grip and then unthread the shoulder strap.

Before the aid is positioned on the patient, the scope of movement (extension and flexion) is set.
Before setting the scope of movement (extension and flexion), remove the locking washer on the
joint. For joint setting, the raised locking mechanism is opened, for which you push the black adjustable
stand towards the centre of the joint. Then, the adjustment rings can be individually set to the desired
value (extension/flexion). To fix the scope of movement set, re-insert the locking washer. The locking
washer is inserted correctly if it lies flat on the joint. If the disc protrudes, it has been inserted the wrong
way round.
4
When then positioning the aid, the patient reaches for the handle on the injured or operated arm with
the hand.
Initially, the patient takes hold of the upper cuff and warps it around the upper arm, creating pleasant
wearing comfort using the hand on the uninjured side. The micro Velcro provided is used here to fix the
cuff. Then, the lower arm cuff is closed using the same procedure.
5
A shoulder strap is adapted for full immobilisation of the elbow joint. It is threaded in the upper area
using a strap ring. For adaptation, it is placed over the shoulder and also threaded on the handle with
a strap ring.
Finally, the correct positioning of the brace must be checked.
Removal
To remove the brace, slip out of the shoulder strap, open the lower arm cuff first, then the upper arm cuff.
