is completed. Then, empty the sieve.
❏ Two main fractions are obtained:
- at the end, coarse and fine brans,
- coarse semolina in the central collecting-pan.
■ Reduction
❏ Pour the semolina into the left feed-hopper of the reduction
system (with a flour scoop).
❏ Start the motor by turning on the left-hand switch (clockwise)
which controls the distributor-reduction roll and sieve unit.
Reduction time obviously varies, depending on the amount of
semolina extracted during the break stage (around 3/5 minutes).
When the semolina has been reduced, wait approximately 1.5
minutes for the sieving to be completed and for the sieve to empty
itself.
❏ Three fractions are obtained:
- at the far end, medium coarse semolina,
- in the left collecting-pan, reduction flour,
- in the right collecting pan, fine semolina
■ The time for one grinding of local wheat should not exceed 10
minutes.
The total yield of the milling must be better than 98 % (including
moisture loss), the repeatability of the extraction ratio with the same
wheat conditioned under identical conditions being ± 1 %.
