word .

7.4.1 View "Work Mode"

In this view, the operating mode can be selected (cf . chapters 6 .2 .2
and 6 .3 .2):
Fig. 12 Operating mode
On the left, select the operating mode desired: STEREO, PARALLEL or
BRIDGE . In the modes PARALLEL and BRIDGE, the lock on the right
will be closed to indicate that all parameters are linked . Only the op-
erating mode STEREO will allow independent settings for channel B .

7.4.2 View "X-Over, PEQ"

The view "X-Over, PEQ" (fig . 13) provides a summary of all filter
settings . This includes the 9 filters of the parametric equalizer that
can be used to compensate acoustic problems of a room or speaker,
for example, and the high-pass filter and low-pass filter that can be
used as a crossover network, for example (
in the diagram shows the magnitude frequency response (= result of
all filters of a channel) . To select the channel to be shown, use the
buttons CH A and CH B above the diagram .
In the diagram, each filter is represented by a marking . To hide/
show the markings of the 9 filters of the parametric equalizer, use
the button "EQ Visible" .

7.4.2.1 Numerical filter setting

Use the input fields beneath the diagram to make the filter settings .
For the 9 filters of the parametric equalizer, the following values can
be set (cf . chapter 6 .3 .4):
Filter characteristic FILTER:
PEQ
Bell characteristic
LSLV
Low Shelving characteristic
HSLV
High Shelving characterstic
Filter frequency FREQ
Quality factor Q
Gain or attenuation GAIN
Use the button BYPASS to activate or deactivate the filter:
Red:
deactivation of the filter
Green:
activation of the filter
All 9 filters can be activated or deactivated by means of the button
EQ BYPASS .
In the lower section, the settings for the high-pass filter HPF and low-
pass filter LPF can be made (cf . chapter 6 .3 .3):
In the left field, select the crossover frequency; in the right field, select
the filter type:
– Butterworth filter; slope: 6, 12, 18 or 24 dB /octave
– Bessel filter; slope: 12 or 24 dB /octave
– Linkwitz-Riley filter; slope: 12 or 24 dB /octave
Use the button BYPASS to activate or deactivate the filter .

7.4.2.2 Graphical filter setting

Some of the filter parameters can also be changed graphically . For
this purpose, keep the left mouse button pressed and move the ap-
propriate filter marking:
– Horizontal move to change the frequency
– Vertical move to change the gain
To avoid accidental parameter changes, one of the two directions of
movement can be locked: First select the desired filter marking with
the left mouse button, then click the marking with the right mouse
button and finally, in the menu that will appear, tick "Lock Gain" or
"Lock Freq" .

7.4.2.3 Copying filter settings

To transfer all filter settings of a channel to the other channel:
1) Click the right mouse button anywhere in the diagram .
2) A menu will appear; select the option "Copy Output Filters" .
3) Use the button CH A or CH B to go to the view of the other channel .
4) Click the right mouse button anywhere in the diagram .
5) A menu will appear; select the option "Paste Output Filters" .

7.4.2.4 Saving filter settings

Independently of the presets of an amplifier where the entire configu-
ration is saved, it is also possible to save filter settings as filter presets
to the computer . Use the button "Filters Presets" or the context menu
which is shown when you click the right mouse button in the diagram
to call up the following window:
Fig. 14 Filter presets
The left side indicates the usage of the storage locations:
White:
unused storage locations
Multicoloured: used storage locations
The buttons on the right side have the following functions:
Store:
to save the current filter setting to the storage location
selected on the left side
Recall:
to call up the filter setting selected for the current
channel
Delete:
to delete the storage location selected
Rename:
to rename the filter setting selected
Close:
