7.4 Pairing the Remote Control with the WheelProbe 2
This section explains how to pair the wireless remote control with the WheelProbe 2
for Sonatest instruments.
When purchasing a WheelProbe 2 with a remote control, the two are already paired.
However, if you buy the remote control later on or replace it, the two units have to be
paired in order for the WheelProbe 2 to accept commands from the remote control.
Any WheelProbe 2 can be paired with several remote controls. It is possible to
remove all pairs from the WheelProbe 2 memory.
To pair the remote control with the WheelProbe 2:
1 Connect the WheelProbe 2 to the test instrument (refer to chapter 4 "Connecting
the WheelProbe 2 to Sonatest Instruments").
2 Start the test instrument.
3 Load a wheel probe default configuration file.
4 On the test instrument, press the MENU key.
5 Select the Inspection tab and, on the Inspection menu, in the GPIO/WheelProbe
list, select WheelProbe 2.
6 Select the WheelProbe 2 Remote Sync parameter and select Add remote.
7 During the detection of the remote control, press any button on the remote control.
8 Once the detection is completed, sequentially press the remote control buttons
while verifying that the button status on screen matches the pressed button.
9 On the test instrument keypad, press the OK button.
To remove all remote control pairs:
1 Connect the WheelProbe 2 to the test instrument (refer to chapter 5 "Connecting
the WheelProbe 2 to Sonatest Instruments").
2 Start the test instrument.
3 Load a wheel probe default configuration file.
4 On the test instrument, press the MENU key.
5 Select the Inspection tab and, on the Inspection menu, in the GPIO/WheelProbe
list, select WheelProbe 2.
