5. Check if the new belt has a direction arrow on the inner backing. The
sanding belt rotates counter clockwise. Match the direction arrow with
the rotation.
6. Hold both ends of the new belt and slide it onto the platform. You may
need to adjust the top and bottom of the belt for fit while installing to avoid
damaging the belt.
7. Slide the belt tension lever to the left to take up the belt's slack. The belt is
ready for use once the slack disappears.
8. Test that the tracking is properly set (See Assembly & Installation).
REPLACING THE SANDING DISC
1. Ensure the tool is OFF, the yellow tab is removed from the safety switch
and the tool is unplugged.
2. Remove the work table and set aside.
3. Pull the old sanding disc from the sanding plate carefully to avoid tearing
the disc.
4. Check and remove any remaining adhesive.
5. Remove the backing from the new sanding disc. Apply the disc onto the
plate carefully to avoid folds or creases. The sanding disc should cover the
plate without hanging over the plate's edge.
6. Align the disc guard with the screw holes on either side of the sanding
plate and fasten into place.
CLEANING
1. Dress the sanding belt and discs with a dressing stick to remove sanding
residue from the surface. This will extend their useful lifespan.
2. Vacuum the tool's inside to remove collected sawdust.
3. Wipe down exterior surfaces with a damp cloth to remove
accumulated dust.
