Installing the Cutting Blade
WARNING! Unplug tile saw before removing or installing a cutting blade.
NOTICE! Do not over-tighten nut as it may damage the cutting blade and impair the effectiveness of
the tile saw.
1. Loosen the locking knob located on the side of the blade guard and raise guard. Tighten the knob to lock
the guard in an UP position.
2. Fully depress the spindle (to prevent it from slipping). This will also allow you to unscrew the nut and
outer flange.
3. Slide the new blade over the spindle, re-fasten the outer flange and nut. Be sure to tighten the nut fully
before using.
4. Lower the blade guard and tighten the locking knob.
OPERATION
1. Fill the tank with water, so that the pump is completely submerged, but not overflowing the tank.
2. Plug the power cord into a sufficiently powered receptacle, in a safe dry location.
3. Flip the power switch, located on the front of the motor, to the ON position.
4. Let the motor run for approximately 1 minute. Check blade rotation once at full speed. If there are any
unusual noises or if you feel the unit is not operating properly, do not proceed.
CUTTING TILE
NOTICE! If the tank runs dry, check the action of the pump and the water level of the tub. Fill if required.
NOTICE! If the motor stops suddenly, flip the power switch to the OFF position. Wait approximately 15
seconds, remove the circuit breaker cap located directly above the power switch and push the re-set button.
1. Mark your tile where you would like to make your cut, and place it on the back of the table. Align the cut
mark with the blade.
2. Turn on the saw and allow blade to spin up to full speed. Ensure a continuous supply of water is
hitting the blade.
3. Feed tile under the blade very slowly. Do not force it through. If the rotation of the blade slows down
significantly, it is an indication that you are forcing the tile.
USING THE ANGLE GUIDE
•
Remove the parallel guide.
•
Attach the angle guide to the fence, replacing the parallel guide. Use the 2 locking knobs to hold the guide
in place.
•
Use the cutting groove in the middle of the table to brace the edge of your tile as you slide it and the table
under the blade.
