• The compressor will switch off
automatically when the water con-
tainer is full. When the unit is reset,
the compressor takes around 3
minutes to switch on. The air goes
into the unit from the back grill and
is release on the top. To maximize
the performance of your dehumidi-
fier, do not obstruct the back grill.
To move the unit, unplug it and
empty the water tank.
Control panel
Please refer to FIG A:
• Power: Switch the machine ON/
OFF
• Speed: Switch between "high" or
"low" fan speed.
• Timer: set time for automatic on/off
by 1-8 h.
• Dehumidify: choose desired
humidity in 5% percents intervals
or choose continuous dehumidifi-
cation.
• Mode: switch between dry and
dehumidify mode.
• Swing: press to activate swing of
the louvers.
• Water indicator: lit when water
tank is full
• Defrost indicator: lit when unit is
in defrost mode
Low temp mode
When the ambient temperature is
≤5˚C, the product will finish its defrost
cycle one time, and then, the com-
pressor keeps working for 30 min
and the fan keeps working for 70
min. After this time, the fan will run
for 1 min, every 30 minutes. When
the ambient temperature has been
≥7°C for at least 7 minutes, the unit
will restart operation at the last set
mode.
Water tank
An indicator will illuminate and a
buzzer will sound 10 times when the
water tank is full. The compressor will
stop automatically which will stop the
unit from dehumidifying.
1. Disconnect the dehumidifier from
the power source.
English
2. Empty the water reservoir.
3. Put the empty reservoir back in its
position.
4. Connect the dehumidifier to the
power source.
Drainage of water
The dehumidifier is fitted with a hose
connection: please refer to FIG 8 and
FIG 9.
Using the hose:
1. Disconnect the dehumidifier from
the power source and remove the
water reservoir to give access to the
drip tray.
2. Attach the hose coupling to the
thread on the dehumidifier and lead
the hose to a drainage outlet. Check
that the hose is not above the level of
the drip tray.
3. Connect the dehumidifier to the
power source.
Defrost
When the temperature of the cop-
per tubes is ≤1°C, the compressor
will stop after 30 min and the fan
will keep running for defrosting. The
compressor will automatically restart
when the defrost is completed.
The air filter
The air filter at the rear of the
dehumidifier ensures that the coo-
ling coils are kept free of dust. It is
important that the filter is kept clean
so that air can flow freely through the
dehumidifier. The filter should thus be
cleaned when required.
1. Remove the filter
2. Wash it with warm water and a
mild cleansing agent. Alternatively
the filter may be vacuum cleaned.
3. Let the filter dry and put it back.
It is very important that the
filter is cleaned regularly;
otherwise the dehumidifier
might lose capacity and even
be seriously damaged.

Service
If the dehumidifier requires servicing,
you must first contact your local retai-
ler. Proof of purchase is required for
all warranty claims.
Warranties
2 years product warranty. Please
note that the warranty is only valid
upon the production of the receipt.
This machine complies with EEC
directives 76/889 + 82/499
Hints
Sometimes it may be useful to use
a frost guard or heater fan to make
sure that the temperature does
not fall below +10˚C. Even if the
MRD17/20 works down to tempera-
tures as low as +5°C, its capacity will
increase at higher temperatures as
warm air carries more water.
For maximum dehumidifying power
in a room, it is recommended that
the air supply from outside and from
adjoining rooms is minimized – close
doors and ventilators.
Expect higher dehumidification
capacity during Autumn / Summer
because the outside air is warmer
and more humid.
To achieve a safe and reliable pro-
tection against mould and moisture
damage, keep the relative humidity
between 50% and 60%.
