5.1. Dialling a saved telephone number
after the button has been pressed
The direct call buttons on Behnke Series 5/10
Intercom stations can be set to dial a telephone
number. To do so, go to the respective
configuration step (direct call button 1 =
configuration step code 21, ..., direct call button
2 = configuration step code 22) to enter and
save the desired telephone number. Then, your
Behnke Series 5/10 Intercom station will dial
the number saved for the respective direct call
button after it has been pressed.
Please note:
▸
In case no telephone number has been
assigned to a direct call button, pressing
this direct call button will result in the
intercom station picking up and hanging up
immediately followed by an error tone.
▸
Use configuration step code 04 to set a
minimal amount of time, a direct call button
needs to be pressed for activation to make
the call to the number saved.
▸
The integrated voice message option allows
you to record different voice messages via
configuration step code 58. These recorded
messages can either be played while
establishing a connection to the remote
station or after the remote station has picked
up the call. (Using this option requires an
additional 15 V +/- power supply.)

5.2. Calling a Behnke Series 5/10
Intercom station
To call a Behnke Series 5/10 Intercom station,
simply dial the telephone number of the
extension the Behnke intercom station is
connected to. As soon as the Behnke intercom
station recognises the incoming call, it
will answer automatically and establish a
connection.
Please note:
▸
Use configuration step code 03 to choose
in which way a call will be answered. If set
to manual connection, a direct call button
needs to be pressed in order to establish a
connection.
5.3. Open the front door from the inside
When used as a door intercom, the Behnke
Series 5/10 relay is generally set to hold the
open door function. During a voice call, use a
telephone with DTMF dialling to activate the
relay in order to open the door. To activate the
relay in order to open the door, dial 0 # from a
telephone with DTMF dialling. This will open the
door and the connection will be terminated.
Please note:
▸
Use configuration step code 08 to choose the
operations mode for the relay. In order for the
relay to open the door, a suitable operations
mode needs to be set, e.g. operations mode 4.
