1.3 Instructions

• Remove the test leads from the device before opening the device case or
battery cover.
• When servicing the device, use only approved replacement parts.
• Before opening the device, always disconnect it from all sources of
electricity and discharge any static electricity, which can damage internal
components.
• Any adjustment, maintenance or repair work carried out on the device while
it is live must only be carried out by a suitably qualified person, taking into
account the instructions in this manual.
• A qualified person is someone who is familiar with the installation,
construction and operation of the equipment and the hazards involved.
A qualified person is trained and authorized to energize and de-energize
circuits and equipment in accordance with established practices.
• When the device is opened up, remember that some internal capacitors can
retain a dangerous voltage even after the device is switched off.
• If any faults or abnormalities are observed, take the device out of service
and ensure that it cannot be used until it has been checked out.
• If the device will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries and store
the device in a place with moderate temperature and relative humidity.

2. DESCRIPTION

2.1 Device overview
① Clamp. Used to enclose the wire.
(Observe the direction of current flow).

② Rotary switch. Used to select measurement
functions.

④ LCD display. Shows measurement results and
various symbols.
