Default settings

The BTL is delivered with the following default settings:
Node ID
Resolution:
Position
Velocity
Maximum working/useful range:
Switching points/cams
Data transfer
Terminating resistor
Baud rate in accordance with the order (see Type code on
page 19). Changes to the BTL default settings are done
in the SDO protocol in accordance with DS 301.

NOTICE
Device damage
Particles, dirt or dust entering the housing can affect the
functioning of the BTL and damage it.
► When opening the housing, make sure that no
particles can get into the device.
► When closing the cover, make sure that there
is enough pressure on the seal. Tightening
torque: 0.8 Nm
For use in standard CANopen systems the node ID, the
baud rate and the terminating resistor are set via the
integrated S1 DIP switch before startup, see Fig. 5-1 and
Fig. 5-2.
If the baud rate and/or node ID settings are
changed, all of the previous settings will be
discarded and the BTL starts again using the
default values.
All setting changes are only taken over by the
BTL after a restart.
Changes that are made while the supply voltage
is on do not have any immediate effect.

5.2.1
Values from 0...63 can be set for the node ID via the
S1.1...S1.6 DIP switches. Every address that sends data
via the bus may only be assigned once in a network! If the
DIP switch value is 0, the node ID set in the LMT will be
used (default setting).

Tab. 5-1:
If the DIP switch value is 0, the baud rate set in the LMT
(e.g. 20/10 kBaud) will be used.
