Do not charge up the device in the
vicinity of highly fl ammable materials
(curtains, textiles, etc.).
■
Do not cover the device during oper-
ation or charging in order to prevent
it from catching fi re. Do not insert
anything into the ventilation openings
of the device and make sure that they
do not become clogged.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to

The device should only be used if it
has been fully and correctly assem-
bled! The dust container and the
fi lters must be inserted and must
not be damaged! If dirt were to get
inside the motor unit, this could dam-
age the motor.
■
Use only original accessories from the
manufacturer in order to guarantee
that there is no interference that may
prevent the device from working and
to avoid possible damage.
■
Do not place heavy objects on the
device, its charging station or con-
necting cable.
■
Make sure that the connecting cable
is not squashed, bent or laid over
sharp edges and does not come into
contact with hot surfaces. Do not wind
the mains cable around the mains
adapter.
■
When you pull the mains adapter out
of the plug socket, always pull on the
mains adapter and never the mains
cable!
■
Do not subject the device and its
accessories to any impacts.

CHARGING UP THE
BATTERY
Please Note!
■
Only connect the mains adapter to a
plug socket that is properly installed
and matches its technical data. The
plug socket must be readily accessible
after connection so that the con-
nection to the mains can quickly be
isolated.
■
Pull the mains adapter out of the plug
socket if an error occurs during charg-
ing or before a thunderstorm.
■
It is essential that you charge up the
battery fully before you fi rst use the
device in order to achieve the maxi-
mum charging capacity. If the battery
is fully discharged during use, it must
be fully charged up again before it is
next used.
If the operating lamp in the On / Off
switch (16) fl ashes during use, the battery
is weak and should be charged.
1. Set up the charging station (1): Open
up the support until you hear and feel
it engage.
2. First plug the barrel connector of the
mains adapter (2) into the connecting
socket on the back of the charging
station and then connect the mains
adapter to a plug socket.
3. Place the switched-off device in
the charging station. The charging
contacts of the device (10) and the
charging station must be touching.
The operating lamp in the On / Off
switch fl ashes blue during the charg-
ing process.
The device cannot be switched on
while it is charging.
4. If the operating lamp is lit constantly
blue, the battery is fully charged.
