LEAK TEST
• Spray all seals with standard leak detection spray or apply some soapy water
(ratio: one part of soap in three parts of water).
• Open the valve of the gas cylinder. Bubbles will indicate leaky spots.
• Close the valve of the gas cylinder.
• Again, tighten the screw connects at both sides and repeat the leak test. If bub-
bles still appear, close the gas valve and contact a specialist dealer.
Repeat the test every time you replace the gas cylinder.
ENERGY-SAVING TIPS
1. Switch off the grill when you have finished barbecuing.
2. Only preheat the gas grill for 10 to 15 minutes with the lid closed (except for
the initial start-up).
3. It is not necessary to preheat the grill for longer than stated.
WARNING: Before operating the device, always check the gas connec-
tions for breakings, cracks or wear. Should you detect one of those, do not
use the grill until the weak spot was fixed.
If you replace or unscrew the gas cylinder, make sure that there are no sources of
fire such as candles, electrical appliances or cigarettes near. Always check if the
cylinder is properly screwed.

OPERATING THE GAS GRILL

Before preparing food on the gas grill for the very first time, let the burners run for
30 minutes without grillables. This way, preservation residues are removed. You may
notice a slight odor but that is nothing to worry about.
Odor generation is harmless. Ensure that the grill is well ventilated. Afterwards,
scrub the cast iron grates with a brass brush.
