o Capacity control: You can control the performance of the appliance, just as for a gas
stove, via positions 1 through 10. Set the appliance to the standard position "5".
o Temperature control: you can set the temperature between 60°C and 240°C in 20°C
increments. Standard position for the appliance is 200°C. ATTENTION! The
programmed temperature is that of the glass plate and not the temperature in the pan!
x If you select capacity control, select "Power" using the "Function" key. Now you can program the
capacity required by means of the arrow keys, 10 being the highest and 1 the lowest position.
x If you select temperature control, select "Temp" using the "Function" key. Now you can program
the required temperature by means of the arrow keys between 60°C and 240°C in 20°C
increments.
x After programming the capacity or temperature, you can opt to program the timer. This timer
switches the appliance off after the programmed time has been reached. You do this by pressing
the "Function" key once more after programming the capacity or temperature, and selecting
"Timer". Now you can program the required time in 5 minute increments. The maximum
programmable time is 180 minutes.
x Once you have reached the required result, you can switch off the appliance by pressing the
"ON/OFF" key. The display will go off and the lights next to "Power", "Temp" and "Timer" will go off.
The light next to the "ON/OFF" will stay lit.
x If you do not use the appliance for an extended period, remove the plug from the wall-mounted
electrical socket and remove the pans from the appliance.
ATTENTION! Allow the appliance to cool off before you touch it. The glass plate is very hot after

use.
Cleaning and maintenance

Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the appliance and wait until the unit is
cooled down completely.
x
If the pots/pans are used without being cleaned, discoloration or cooked on stains may be caused
x
Beware: Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid!
x
Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth (water with mild detergent).
x
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasives. Do not use any sharp or pointed objects. Do
not use petrol or solvents! Clean with a damp cloth and detergent if necessary. Do not use
abrasive materials.
x
Clean the ventilation slots (if applicable) with the vacuum cleaner.
x
Clean the glass plate every time after you use it to prevent any residues from burning onto the
glass plate.
