Special safety instructions

Do not install the appliance near objects and appliances that may be affected by a magnetic field,
like, e.g., TVs, radios, bank cards and credit cards.
x
Never leave any metal objects on the appliance.
x
Never switch on the appliance with an empty pan on top of it; this may result in serious damage to
the appliance.
x
Make sure the appliance is not set up near water vapour or greasy vapours. The fan of the
appliance will take in these vapours and this will cause grease or moisture to accumulate in the
appliance which may result in a short-circuit in the appliance.
x
Do not move the cooker together with a pot.
x
Do not use the unit on carpet or tablecloth (vinyl) or any other low-heat-resistant article
x
If the surface is cracked, switch off and take to the service center immediately
x
Do not touch the top plate right after removing the pot or the pan, as the top plate will still be very
hot.
Preparation for first use

Check to make sure the appliance is undamaged. In case of any damage, contact your supplier
immediately and do NOT use the appliance.
x
Remove all the packing material and protection film (if applicable).
x
Clean the appliance with luke-warm water and a soft cloth.
x
Place the appliance on a level and steady surface, unless mentioned otherwise.
x
Make sure there is enough clearance around the appliance for ventilation purposes.
x
Position the appliance in such a way that the plug is accessible at all times.
Suitable cooking equipment
Only use pans that have the following properties:
o The pan must be suitable for induction. The following logo is usually displayed on
the bottom of the pan:
o Should you inadvertently use a pan that is not suitable for induction, it will not be
recognised by the appliance, which will beep a number of times and switch to the stand-by
mode.
o The bottom of the pan must have a diameter of 12 cm, at minimum. This means that the
smallest circle on the glass plate of the appliance may NOT be visible when the appliance is in
use.
Should you inadvertently use a pan that is too small, the appliance will beep a number of times and
switch to the stand-by mode.
If you use a frying pan, the diameter of the pan may NOT exceed 20 cm. This means that the
o
middle circle on the glass plate of the appliance must be visible during use.
The appliance may be damaged if a larger pan is used.
