10.2. Locating a short circuit in the ionization bars connected

(HV indicator neon lamp stays dark)

1. Disconnect equipment from power unit.
2. Check whether the transformer now generates a voltage (neon lamp is on).
3. Connect bars one by one; check for each individual bar whether the transformer generates a
voltage
4. If, after connection of a bar, the transformer does no longer generate a voltage, the short
circuit is located in that specific device.
Make sure that:
 bars and metal shielded cable are earthed. When these have not been earthed, contact
will lead to an unpleasant electrical shock.

11. Repair

It is not possible to repair parts of the power unit. To order parts, see the spares list.
If the equipment is in need of repair, you may send it to SIMCO (Nederland) B.V.
Pack them properly and clearly state the reason for return.
