AUTOMATIC COUPLING WITH GUIDE RAILS AND QUICK RELEASE.
The automatic lowering system enables quick installation of the pump in operation 1A WET PIT. The
coupling foot is fixed to the floor of the sump along with the delivery pipe. One or two guide rails facilitate
the descent of the pump. The pump's own weight is what keeps it in its correct position. The pump is
installed with its lifting chain arranged for future dismantling.
PUMP INSTALLATION (WET PIT).
1. Fix the upper GUIDE RAIL SUPPORTS (5) to the centre of the internal wall of the access trap, on
the same side as the delivery pipe will be attached.
2. Position the COUPLING FOOT (2) or discharge coupling on the floor of the sump so that the GUIDE
RAILS (4) are aligned with the GUIDE RAIL SUPPORTS (5) that were installed earlier. Check its
verticality using a plumb bob. Mark the holes to anchor the COUPLING FOOT (2) and attach them to
the floor of the sump. Position the GUIDE RAILS (4) in their correct housing and attach them,
determining their definitive length.
3. In sumps over 6 m deep, an extra attachment is required for the guide rails at an intermediate position.
4. Insert the GUIDE RAILS (4) in the conical projections on the COUPLING FOOT (2) provided for that
purpose. Check their verticality.
5. Definitively fasten the COUPLING FOOT (2) and the GUIDE RAIL SUPPORT (5) with their
corresponding bolts.
6. Install the DELIVERY PIPE (11) with joints and screws to the COUPLING FOOT (2) or discharge
coupling.
7. Fasten the LIFTING CHAIN (7) to the eye bolts or handle that the ARS PUMP (1) incorporates for
the purpose.
8. Fasten the QUICK RELEASE (3) with its counter-flange onto the delivery flange of the ARS PUMP
(1) and lower the assembly to the floor of the sump, positioning the QUICK RELEASE (3) between the
GUIDE RAILS (4). When the pump reaches the floor under its own weight, it will automatically settle in
the correct position.
9. Hang the top end of the LIFTING CHAIN (7) onto the GUIDE RAIL SUPPORTS (5) on one of the
corresponding chain pins. Ensure that the electrical cables are not crushed or damaged.
10. For correct operation, you must ensure that the LEVEL SWITCHES or floats operate freely, away
from the sides of the sump or any other obstacle. They must not rest on the sump floor or in the flow of
incoming liquid.
