Bombas Ideal, S.A
The bearings, sized for minimum operation of 10,000 hours, are self-lubricated, maintenance-free,
radial ball bearings.
The pump incorporates two mechanical seals to ensure the motor is perfectly isolated from the liquid
pumped.
Top seal CERAMIC / GRAPHITE
Bottom seal. SILICON CARBIDE / SILICON CARBIDE
Oil reservoir: The oil lubricates and refrigerates the mechanical seal and emulsifies on contact with the
water.
INSTALLATION: SAFETY STANDARDS To prevent any risk when handling or installing the pump, the
following advice must be followed:
• Use a safety harness and safety rope and, if necessary, a gas mask. Do not ignore
the hazard of flooding.
• Ensure that there is a sufficient amount of oxygen in the sump and that no toxic gases
are present.
• Monitor the risk of explosions before using electrical soldering equipment.
• Do not ignore health hazards and take hygiene standards into account.
• Pay attention to the risks arising from electrical faults.
• Ensure that the elements for suspending the electrical pump are in good condition.
• Erect a suitable safety barrier around the work area.
• Ensure there is an easily accessible exit to the outdoors from the work area.
• Wear a hard hat, safety glasses and suitable footwear when handling the pump.
• All personnel working in pumping stations should be properly vaccinated against any disease
transmitted through waste waters.
• Never place your fingers into the suction mouth of the pump since there is a risk of being cut by the
turbine. Before handling the pump, it is recommended to turn it off and disconnect from the power
supply.
The pump is designed to be used with liquids that may be harmful to health. To prevent any damage to
eyes or skin, you must adhere to the following standards:
• Always use safety glasses and rubber gloves.
• Rinse the pump thoroughly with high-pressure water before handling it.
• Rinse the pump's different components with clean water after dismantling it.
• Place a rag over the screw on the oil reservoir when loosening it. This will avoid any splashing in the
eyes or on the skin, as there may be pressure in the pump reservoir due to infiltration of the pumped
liquid.
Do the following if any of the pumped liquid comes into contact with:
Your eyes:
• Rinse immediately with water for 15 minutes, keeping your eyes wide open. Immediately visit an
ophthalmologist.
Your skin:
• Rinse your skin well using soap and water and, if necessary, visit the nearest medical centre.
FOLLOW ALL HYGIENE AND SAFETY STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS IN FORCE.
FASTENING EQUIPMENT
To lower and fasten the pump suitable equipment is required. It must be able to lift the pump and place
it in the sump without the need for any type of readjustment. The minimum distance between the lifting
hook and the floor must be 0.8 m., to be able to raise the pump out of the sump. Use of oversized
fastening equipment could cause damage to the pump, and it may fall during the lowering and fastening
operation.
Ensure that the fastening equipment is safe.
