Charging the battery

Starting charging

Conservation
When the battery is fully charged, the charger automatically switches to conservation
charging
charging. This counteracts the battery self-discharge. The battery can remain connected
to the charger for any length of time.
All LEDs light up at the same time to show conservation charging.

CAUTION! Danger of damage if attempting to charge a faulty battery or using the
incorrect charging voltage. Before beginning charging, ensure that the battery to
be charged is fully functional and the charging voltage of the charger matches the
battery voltage.
Connect mains cable to charger and plug into mains

Charger in open circuit; both ready indicators light up
Select synergic line type according to the battery to be charged

The synergic line type can be found in the "Synergic line" chapter
WARNING! Danger of serious injury or damage from incorrectly connected
charger leads. Connect charger leads to correct poles and ensure proper electri-
cal connection to battery terminals.
Switch off all consumers
Connect red charger lead to positive pole (+) on battery
Connect black charger lead to negative pole (-) on battery

the charger automatically detects the battery voltage after 2 s
-
depending on the battery voltage (12 V or 24 V), the current ready indicator lights
up

battery is charged
only when necessary: press the Stop/Start button to manually correct the battery volt-
age
charging begins automatically if the Stop/Start button is not pressed for 5 seconds
