SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Caution: Statement that alerts the user to the possibility of a problem with the device associated with
its use or misuse.
Precaution: Should be taken to avoid the hazard
Note: Possibility of a technical damage or malfunction of the device.
Caution: Make sure that the user knows if he/she feels or notices any change
of function or alignment of the device, he should contact his healthcare
practitioner. This noticeable function loss may be the result of reduced
stiffness or loss of support.
Note: Adjusting the rear link is not allowed.
Note: Make sure that the user knows that he needs to replace socks that
have holes in it because otherwise it may damage the foot cover.
Note: The foot is designed to be used with spectra socks and foot cover to
prevent noise and for proper shoe fit.
Caution! Avoid placing hands or fingers near moving joints.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
PRO-FLEX is a prosthetic foot with anatomically located ankle pivot joint.
Two supporting joints connect flexible carbon blades and act together with
the main joint to provide progressive energy storing during the whole stance
phase and a powerful push-off in the end of stance.
The device consists of the following components (Figure 1):
1. Male Pyramid
2. Chassis
3. Main pivot
4. Upper supporting pivot
5. Supporting link
6. Lower supporting pivot
7. Top blade
8. Main pivot carbon clamp
9. Middle blade
10. Lower supporting pivot carbon clamp
11. Bottom blade
12. Bottom blade bolts
13. Sock
14. Footcover
FOOT COVERS (Figure 2)
The foot is designed to be used with the FST Foot Covers and spectra socks.
Please view the instructions for use for the foot covers before fitting them
and ensure that the user knows how to use them.
Use a shoehorn to avoid damaging to the foot or the foot cover.
a. Installing – Make sure that the foot module is placed completely into the
foot cover.
b. Removing the foot from the foot cover.
