7. Handling

Telescopic rod adjustment
7.1
(See Fig. A).
Telescopic rod (7) can be adjusted in length
to create a comfortable working length.
a. Unscrew the locking button (8).
b. Slide the tube in or out until the desired
length has been reached.
c.
Tighten the locking button again.
d. Make sure the tube is properly fixed
before you resume work.
Weed brush angle adjustment

(See Fig. B, C).
The angle of the machine can be adjusted in
order to obtain a comfortable working
angle.
a. Hold the machine firmly.
b. Press the locking button (12) in order to
adjust the angle of the machine.
c.
Adjust the angle of the machine to the
desired position. Machine can be
adjusted into five different positions.
d. The guard cover (11) must be parallel
with the ground for optimum protection
(see Fig. C).
e.
Release the locking button and make
sure the machine is properly locked.
Switching the machine on and off
7.3
a. Hold the machine firmly.
b. Machine is equipped with a safety
switch (1).
c.
To switch the machine on, slide the
safety switch (1) forward and squeeze
the on/off switch (2).
d. To switch the machine off, release the
on/off switch.

8. Use

Do not use the metal brush on soft stone
types or tiles with an imprint, the metal
brush may damage it. Always test a small,
inconspicuous part first to check whether or
not the metal brush damages the material
to be worked on.
• Let the machine do the work. Do not
force the machine.
• Hold the machine with both hands.
• Use the machine in a quiet, steady pace.

• Use the machine exclusively for dry
weeds.
• Keep the machine away from plants.
• Tackle first the long joints and then the
short ones.

9. Cleaning and maintenance

Remove the battery before undertaking
any cleaning or maintenance work.
Cleaning
9.1
• Keep safety devices, ventilation openings
and the motor housing as free as possi-
ble from dirt and dust. Rub the electric
power tool with a clean cloth or blow
over it with low pressure compressed air.
• We recommend that you clean your elec-
tric power tool immediately after each
use.
• Clean the electric power tool regularly
with a damp cloth and somewhat soft
soap. Do not use any cleaning or solvent
materials; these can attack the device's
plastic components. Make sure that no
water can get inside the electric power
tool.
