Safety instructions
For operator:
Please ensure that all users of the machine
have read and understood the contents of
this Operating Instructions Manual and are
familiar with the local regulations about
work safety. The users must have been
technically trained to use this appliance.
Additional tips for operators in commer-
cial fields:
In addition to these instructions, the general
legal and other mandatory regulations for
accident prevention and environmental pro-
tection must be observed.
The operator must make sure that the per-
sons handling the machine observe and ad-
here to these instructions.
For users:
Please read and comply with these instruc-
tions prior to the initial operation of your ap-
pliance.
While operating the appliance:
– Fine spray drops will be created when
liquids are sprayed. Therefore, you
must wear protective clothing, including
protective gloves and a breathing mask
when handling hazardous substances.
When vaporising flammable liquids (on-
ly those with an ignition point of more
than 55 °C! are permitted) you must
avoid ignition sources in the vicinity and
ensure that the work area is well-venti-
lated.
– Drifting of spray drops onto surfaces
that are not part of the treatment must
be avoided. Do not spray against the
wind when working outside.
– When filling the appliance with com-
pressed air, always keep watch of the
manometer and do not exceed the per-
mitted overpressure of 6 bar.
– Only use and move the appliance while
it is upright or hanging upright. Do not
leave exposed to pressure over a long
period of time.
– Do not expose the appliance to sunlight
while under pressure.
– The locally valid regulations on waste
water disposal are to be observed.
Observe the following during mainte-
nance and troubleshooting:
– Only a well-maintained appliance is
safe. Get the appliance checked and
serviced regularly by an expert compa-
ny. Your dealer will consult you gladly.
– Replace damaged appliance parts im-
mediately. Only use original spare parts
for this. The appliance must be empty
and depressurised during all repair and
maintenance procedures.
– The occupational health and safety
agency recommends having the appli-
ance checked - preferably by the manu-
facturer - every 5 years.
– Pressure-bearing, liquid-routing and op-
erating parts as well as manometers
and safety valves must be checked for
proper condition and function on a reg-
ular basis. Immediately take the appli-
ance out of service if damage is
suspected.
– Do not blow out plugged nozzles or
valves using your mouth - rinse with wa-
ter instead. When unscrewing spray
pipes, do not point the end towards you.

Warning
indicates a possibly dangerous situation.
Failure to observe the instruction may result
in light injuries or damage to property.

indicates useful tips and important informa-

Function
The spray appliance can be filled with com-
pressed air by manually pumping the pump
handle as well as by connecting a pressure
source (max. 6 bar). The pressure in the
container is shown on a manometer. If the
pressure in the container exceeds 6 bar, the
excess compressed air can escape via the
safety valve.
The detergent can be sprayed by pressing
the shut-off valve on the handle.
Proper use
Use this appliance only as directed in these
operating instructions.
The spray appliance is designed to spray
the following Kärcher detergent solutions
(prepared) diluted in water:
RM 21, RM 43, RM 55, RM 57, RM 58*,
(RM 59*), RM 555, RM 55 Ultra, RM 555 Ul-
tra, RM 565 Ultra, RM 570 Ultra, RM 732,
RM 735, RM 746, RM 748, RM 760, RM
762, RM 764, RM 767, RM 768, RM 770,
RM 825, RM 829.
*Only for short-term use. The appliance
must be rinsed after use.
Besides that, the spray appliance is intend-
ed for spraying oils and thin mineral oils,
light alkaline construction chemicals (pH
value below 9) as well as pesticides in pre-
scribed concentrations. In addition to this,
solvent and chloride free, neutral deter-
gents as well as thin, solvent-free disper-
sion and paints can be used.
Not suitable for:
– Flammable liquids with an ignition point
below 55 °C.
– Hydrogen peroxide and similar materi-
als emitting oxygen.
– Acidic substances (certain disinfection
and impregnating agents, acids,
brines).
– Liquids containing amonium.
– Solvents and solvent-containing liquids.
– Tough, sticky or residue-generating liq-
uids (paints, greases).
– Use in the food sector.
Do not use under any circumstanc-
es:
– For deflaming.
– For the storage of liquids.
– As an eye shower.
Environmental protection
The packaging material can be
recycled. Please do not place
the packaging into the ordinary
refuse for disposal, but arrange
for the proper recycling.
Old appliances contain valua-
ble materials that can be recy-
cled. Please arrange for the
proper recycling of old appli-
ances. Batteries, oil, and simi-
lar substances must not enter
the environment. Please dis-
pose of your old appliances us-
ing appropriate collection
systems.
