Operation
The following functions are available for the device without
selecting a cooking zone or extraction.
4.4.1

Count down function

Function for setting an individual countdown time from
1 minute to 9 hours, 59 minutes.
If no cooking zone is active (all power levels = 0),
the function is used irrespective of the
activities on the hob.
☞ Press the plus and minus buttons at the
same time for 1 second.
If one or more cooking zones are active, the
function can be assigned to a cooking zone.
☞ Press the plus and minus buttons at the
same time until the desired cooking zone
has been selected.
The symbol lights up on the selected cooking
zone or on the hob.
The countdown time on the speed on the
3x 7-segment display is preset to 0 minutes.
☞ Set the countdown time using the minus
and plus buttons as follows:
y Tap - 1-minute increments.
y Hold - Initially 1-minute increments,
then 5-minute increments, then
10-minute increments.
y The time starts to run 5 seconds after it is
set.
y The 3x 7-segment display shows the
remaining time (e.g. 0 hours, 15 minutes),
the dot next to the first digit flashes.
After expiration of the adjusted time:
y An acoustic signal is issued.
y The 3x 7-segment display flashes.
☞ Press the plus or minus button to
acknowledge.
To switch off the function:
☞ Once again press the plus and minus
buttons at the same time for 1 second.

Pause function

Function for interruption of a cooking process with saved
settings.
☞ Touch the symbol for 1 second.
y The cooking process is interrupted.
y The adjusted values are saved.
y All cooking zones display the pause
symbol.
To end the function:
☞ Once again, touch the symbol for
1 second.
y The symbols of cooking zone 4 light up
alternately from left to right.
☞ Touch any position on the slider of
cooking zone 4.
y The adjusted values are reactivated.
4.4.3

Recall function

Function for restoring the settings used most recently
(e.g. after accidentally switching off ).
The following values are saved for 6 seconds after switching
off the device:
y Cooking zone power levels.
y Cooking zone time settings.
y Automatic rapid heat-up settings.
y Simmering level settings.
y Operating mode and power level for extraction.
Within 6 seconds after switching off:
☞ Switch on the device again.
The dot above the symbol flashes for
6 seconds.
☞ Touch the symbol before the dot stops
flashing.
y The adjusted values are reactivated.
