Lightweight Construction
The SONIC2 benefits from a unique
material composition, which forms
a wrinkle-free airfoil, simplifies the
relaunch and contributes to the direct-
ness of the kite. The obtained weight
reduction increases stability and al-
lows deeper downwind courses.
Double Cordwise Ballooning
Double Cordwise Ballooning is minimizing
the creasing of the cells on the kite to an
absolute minimum. With exactly calculated
arc-shaped panel cuts, double-stitched
and glued seams a perfectly smooth,
high performance airfoil is created.
Rigid Foil Technology by Gin
Rigid foils are used to ensure a
smooth, wrinkle free and stiffer, more
dynamic canopy. This gives the kite
more performance, less drag and
more stability at the same time.
Triple Depower Technology
There are 3 ways the kite achieves
maximum depower: Reducing the angle
of attack, profile change and redu-
cing the projected area. This leads to a
huge wind range and ideal handling.
Flat Winglet Technology
The Flat Winglet technology reduces
induced aerodynamic drag, but at the
same time increases lift. This leads
to a noticeable improvement in lift to
glide ratio and forward flying speed of
the kite. As well as constant pull while
turning without wingtip collaps.
LIROS Dyneema Lines
LIROS is a leading European company
who specialize in high quality technical
rope solutions. Thanks to new Dyneema
core fibers, line diameter is reduced
while retaining equal breaking loads.
Maximum Pressure Valves
The M.P.V in the center of the leading edge
provide maximum air pressure inside the
kite. The kite fills fast and accelerates
even when fully depowered. Therefor the
kite is stiffer, more responsive and stable.
Deflate Valve
The kite deflates through the deflate valve,
located in the middle of the trailing edge.
Sharp Mini Ribs
Doubling the number of cells at the
trailing edge increases its profile sta-
bility substantially. Advantage: Drag is
reduced, while performance increases.
Automatic Drainage System
Should sand or water get into the kite,
it will automatically be expelled by
the "dirt/water" drainage system.
