Indicates whether the radio is on standby,
receiving, or transmitting.

To talk, press the PTT (Push to Talk) but-
ton and wait to hear the Talk Permit Tone
(TPT), a quick double beep. Release it to

11 Microphone
Speak clearly into the microphone when
transmitting.
