2 Use as Intended
The system boxes are designed for operation
in industrial environments without switch
cabinets and conform to the protection type
IP54 assuming that the door remains closed.
The system boxes can only be op-
erated when the doors are closed.
Failure to adhere to this, could re-
sult in personal injury or damage to
property caused by residual dirt.
The inside of the system boxes has
been designed in accordance with
contamination level 2 (corre-
sponds to HD 625.1 and
EN 50178).
2.1 SB301 and SB305
The SB301 and SB305 system boxes are
used for accommodating one to five tighten-
ing channels from the stationary Tightening
System 300 or the hand-held nutrunner se-
ries ErgoSpin. These system boxes can be
optionally equipped with one to five SEH3x2
hand-held nutrunners. The SB301 also has a
free slot for the KE312 communication unit.
The rear bus board on the inside of the boxes
connects all inserted components and sup-
plies them with the necessary voltages.
For multi-channel applications, the SB301 or
SB305 can each be equipped with a KE3x0
communication unit instead of a tightening
channel.

2.2 SBH301
The SBH301 system box is used for accom-
modating a hand-held nutrunner channel
(Smart Tool line), and consists of System
300 slide-in modules, SEH3x2, LTH12 and
the current Smart Tool line (ECM16, ECH16,
ECH26, ECH57). In addition, the SBH301
has one free slot for the KE312 communica-
tion unit. The LTH12 is mounted in the box
with mounting brackets. Special cables are
provided for the power supply and for the
connection to the SEH3x2 controller for
hand-held nutrunners in the scope of delivery
of the LTH12 and the SBH301.
