Adjustment of the base plate:

Then, adapt the base plate to the patient's spine, adapted to the body. The base plate is cold-
mouldable without tools. Please observe optimum straightening of the spine for patients with a
strong inclination stance. Then, attach the base plate to the basic support using Velcro. Ensure that the
base plate is fully flush fitted to the base support at the lower edge.
Adjustment of the reclination and shoulder straps:

Shorten the reclination and shoulder straps in the following order:
Step 1: Shorten the middle strap to that the shoulder plate with the upper material edge ends approx. 5 to
10 cm beneath cervical vertebra C7.
Step 2: Next, shorten both shoulder straps evenly. To shorten the shoulder straps, please remove the
crocodile clasps which are respectively attached to the ends of the straps. After shortening, re-attach the
crocodile fasteners with Velcro and close the brace straps again.
Ensure that the spring elements are not tense when the body is reclined. If the patient assumes a neutral
body stance, light dosage of the intensity of the tension of the shoulder straps increases wearing comfort
and nonetheless retains the therapeutic function.
Adjustment and attachment of the chest strap:
To shorten the chest strap, please remove the crocodile clasps which are respectively attached to the ends
of the straps. After shortening, re-attach the crocodile fasteners with Velcro and re-attach to the shoulder
straps. Shorten the chest strap so that both shoulder straps don't run in the axilla area. Slight tension on
the chest strap moves the course of the shoulder straps forwards, hindering friction under the axilla. The
chest strap is easy to open and close using the quick-release fastener in the middle. If required, attach the
shoulder pads provided below the shoulder straps.
Instruct the patients in putting it on and using the BORT DynamicFX back brace.
Removal
To remove the brace, release the shoulder straps as described above, open the front stomach fastener and
take the brace off like a rucksack.
